Winter Alpine Mountaineering Courses

If you enjoy ice climbing and mixed climbing, visiting the Alps in winter is ideal. We can warm up on some icefalls before heading into the mountains for bigger objectives. The Mont Blanc massif has numerous quality 'goulottes' which provide top quality winter climbing do-able in a day, either starting from the valley or a suitable bivouac hut. Access is made considerably easier if you can ski, but it is not necessary.

We are available all winter (Dec-April) for custom guiding. The best ratios for this are 1:1 or 1:2

Summer Alpine Mountaineering Courses

Whether it is classic Alpine peaks like Mont Blanc or the Matterhorn, or a week climbing hidden gems, or it is your first time to the Alps - we can help!. We run alpine courses and custom guiding, throughout the Alps, for novice to expert from June - September.

Our courses emphasise doing as much climbing as possible, while still teaching the essential skills of mountaineering - ice axe/crampon use, roping up, crevasse rescue, moving on glaciers and moving on rocky terrain. However, it's not bootcamp - we know you're on holiday! A perfect week of glaciated high mountain peaks, scrambling and alpine rock.
