Christmas Fun
Well well well or should that be Ho Ho Ho
What did we all get for Christmas then folks….in Chamonix and across of most of the Alps we got the great snow we had been waiting for. Clearly that letter to Santa finally got through…phew
Guy has been out on the planks almost everyday this last week and reports excellent snow all over the Chamonix area as well as Italy. Our spies have also reported back from such places as St Mortiz, Tignes, Gressoney and Zermatt. The news is that all have some great snow and that despite the holidays there are few people enjoying the early conditions.
On a different note Scotland has been looking damn fine as well (although it’s a little soggy right now). Our own Dougal Tavener has been active up there with Grandpa Bullock. A week on the Ben reaped rewards with heaps of climbing and even a new route….coming in at a mighty VIII 10 (that’s hard if you don’t know) the boys climbed the line that is now called “Ride the Wild Bullhorn”
While all this fun has been had I’ve been in the UK but that’s also been fun….it is Christmas after all. After a few days with a new Sponsor (Stay posted on that!!!) before Christmas it’s been super busy as ever. Highlights have been my first Helicopter lesson (Not an easy skill to learn I think), spending a few days looking after my wonderful daughter while Mummy went to work in London and hitting the Gym and the Bike in an effort to stay up with the Boys….there was also a vist to see my Mother and Father….Dad isn’t too well these days so the time spent with them was more special than ever!
Yesterday was a wonderful day as it always is, but its almost business as usual from today on. The snow continues to fall in the Alps and the Ice is thick so treat yourself on Boxing Day by booking a sneaky holiday to burn off Christmas excess and join the fun.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE AND PLEASE PLAY SAFE
