Our rock climbing courses in Monaco are a perfect long weekend break for the budding sport climber. We climb at the crags of la Thurbie, over looking Monaco and the Mediterranean and we stay in a hotel just 5 minutes walk from Monaco's famous casino square. Sun, sea and rock climbing - the perfect combination.

We focus on single pitch (bolt protected) sport climbing where climbers of different standards can happily climb routes at the same crag.

Our experienced Rock Guides will make sure you get the most out of the weekend break. They will take you to the best crags with the most appropriate choice of routes, provide technique & performance coaching and teach good safety practices.

You will return a stronger, better climber and refreshed after a good break!

About Monaco

Monaco is a fascinating place, home for the stars and full of glamour - but not as expensive as you might think. There are lots of reasonably priced, stylish bars and restaurants on the harbour and beach fronts. This weekend provides a great combination of rock climbing and relaxing in style!

The crags of la Thurbie offer great, sunny rock climbing. There are quality routes from french 4 right through to the highest grades on fantastic mediterranean limesone. There are slabs, vertical walls and overhanging walls - something for everyone.

Itinerary

Thursday:  Arrive at Monaco and meet at the hotel in the evening.

Friday - Sunday:  3 days of rock climbing followed by a relaxing drink, perhaps a dip in the Med and dinner on the harbour front.

Sunday evening: Departure and flight home.

Equipment

We provide ropes and quick draws. You should bring your own harnesses and rock shoes, but feel free to bring your favourite (lucky?) quick draws or rope with you too.

Getting to Monaco

Nice is the nearest airport, being about 20-30 minute drive along the coastal motorway. Hiring a car or getting a taxi is the best option. Get in touch when you organise your flights and we will help coordinate the group to make use of sharing hire cars/taxis.
