FAQS
For our off-piste clinics and our backcountry courses your normal ski boots are fine, as long as they are comfortable! For multi-day ski tours, unless you can't bear to be without your ultra-comfortable down hill ski boots, we would recommend buying some specialist touring boots. We think buying is better than renting as they will be more comfortable once professionally fitted to your feet.
These days there is a good choice of touring boots that perform well when skiing downhill.
Yes we do! Guy has several regular snowboarding clients that return again and again. If you are a snow boarder, we can offer you private guiding, or any of our courses on a bespoke basis (minimum booking of 3). Generally we feel it is best to offer courses to groups of skiers OR groups of boarders, so that everyone's needs can be met. Get in touch if you have a question!
We will climb a different worthwhile peak. We want you to have a great week climbing and we will do our best to make sure that happens!
No you don't. We supply any ropes and group climbing equipment needed for your course or private guiding. You can bring your own if you wish, but you don't need to. The kit list on the Info Pack will detail any equipment you should bring.
Yes! We strongly advise that you buy specialist insurance when you make your booking. It should include rescue, medical and repatriation cover. It should also include cancellation cover, in case you are unable to attend the course/expedition due to injury. We recommend the BMC (www.thebmc.co.uk)
Absolutely. Much of our work throughout the year is bespoke, whether it is climbing courses or ski guiding.
From the UK, it is best to fly to Geneva and take a pre-ordered airport transfer (they are cost effective and take you to your door). They take about 75 minutes. If you are staying in one of our Adventure Base Chalets, get in touch and we can organise this for you.
The vast majority of the guiding is done by our regular guiding team, headed up by Guy and Kenton. Some of the time we employ other Guides, particularly during busy periods - but don't worry, they are always well known to us and chosen because they are very good!
Get in touch! Often we can put together another course to suit you, particularly if you are a group
